More About The Account Executive Role
As an Account Executive at Carrot, you'll play a fundamental role in achieving revenue growth objectives with Carrot by owning & executing on serving our Marketing/Sales Qualified Leads through our proactive sales strategy. You'll be responsible for understanding a prospect's needs, qualifying and matching customers to the appropriate plans & services, and closing sales.
The four core components of this role are:
- Lead Qualification & Discovery
- Pipeline Management & Lead Nurturing
- Sales Strategy & Planning
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Goals & Responsibilities
Discovery Questioning & Active Listening:
- Able to personalize call framework for each call
- Ask deep follow-up questions that seed a stronger product presentation
- Identifies opportunities to further explore prospects challenges to understand the broader impact for the prospect
Needs & Product Fit Assessment
- Deepens understand of customers needs, and understands the connection to specific products and services
Solution Mapping
- Able to tailor recommendations based on the customers unique business context
- Deep understanding of specific problems each Carrot product and feature solves
Prioritization & Lead Segmentation
- Proactively creates lead segments within pipeline based on lead scoring
- Prioritize higher-value leads for more personalized follow-ups and quicker engagement
- Understand of pipeline behavior to optimize future follow-up
Lead Nurture & Follow-up
- Develops personalized lead nurture and follow-up sequences.
- Use content and insights to nurture leads
- Use a multi-touch follow-up strategy to keep leads engaged
Pipeline Management
- Identify weak points in pipeline strategy and seeks guidance for optimization
- Effectively tracks, reports, and manages changes in pipeline
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through are vital.
- Highly self-motivated, go-getter.
- Strong active listening skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of running product demonstrations.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- At least 1 year of inside sales or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding goals/quotas.
- Able to leverage CRM and related sales tools to manage the inbound and outbound sales pipelines.
