More About The Account Manager Role
Account Managers work directly with customers in a specific phase of the Customer Journey to help drive our customer’s path to success with Carrot. With a primary focus on Retention and Adoption and a secondary focus on Revenue Growth and Customer Advocacy, you will handle a mix of both proactive and reactive customer communications. You will be a driver of our customer strategy by helping our members learn and apply that strategy to their business to create results. You will engage with our customers to offer strategy, product and service solutions, company news, and other forms of proactive communication; as well as managing our tech-touch tools to deliver timely and prescriptive guidance to our members.

As an Account Manager, you will be involved directly in the creation, implementation, use, and iteration of the processes and systems we use as a Customer Experience team. You will work closely across departments on both internal and external projects that impact how well we serve our team and our customers.  

The Account Managers will help create and maintain processes for:

  • Account Management and Retention
  • Customer Health
  • Revenue growth through expansion and upsell opportunities
  • Customer Advocacy
  • Using data to make decisions and reach out to high-value customers

Customer Relationship Management
Customer Relationship Management involves understanding customer needs, building and maintaining relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction and driving business results. It requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to personalize interactions to meet the unique needs of each customer.

Process Improvement & Systemization
Process improvement and systemization involve identifying, developing, and implementing more efficient processes and systems to enhance productivity and customer experience. This skill is about seeing the big picture, being detail-oriented, and having a knack for problem-solving.

Data-Driven Decision Making
Data-driven decision making involves using data to guide strategic business decisions. It requires analytical skills, an understanding of data sources, and the ability to interpret and communicate data insights effectively.

Requirements

  • Process-oriented, self-starter
  • Comfortable with helping to create & iterate on processes and systems used for daily success
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a customer success rep or other relevant experience. 
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to inspire, coach, and motivate a customer to find success with a product
  • Ability to provide a great customer service experience via phone and email. 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Competencies in Google apps, such as Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides. 
  • Deep understanding of the Carrot platform, SEO, and marketing strategy
  • Knowledge of 3rd party integrations such as CRMs and domain hosts.
  • Strong empathy for customers' success 
The compensation for this role will be based on relevant experience & skillset that's evaluated throughout the interview process. The estimated salary band for this role is $54,000 - $75,916.
